Thursday Thoughts

Here's what's on my mind this week:

[one]

I think I'm going to be buying a mega-millions lotto ticket. Not because I think I'm going to win, but I've never bought one before. If I'm going to win though, I would like to win this one! Biggest one ever!

[two]

Having 20 chapters of assigned reading for my first test next quarter has really put a HUGE damper on my Spring Break. I really wanna just sit and do nothing, but KNOW that I'll be so mad at myself if I don't get ahead on the reading.

[three]

I'm staying down at Brant's apt for the next few days instead of at my house so I can get some reading done.. I could never be a housewife. I'm literally bored.

[four]

April is going to be a new start for me. Better eating and regular exercising here I come!

[five]

I'm trying my first recipe off Pinterest today. Brant loves when I bake and snickers are his favorite so I'm making homemade snickers! (It'll give me a break from reading) I'm pretty excited! Hopefully they turn out good!

Ugghhh....

You know...  with every blog post I always say that I'm going to be better about updating my blog... and I always seem to get WORSE at it... but this time.. it's for real... I have a slight break from school right now so I'm able to focus my brain on something other then psychoactive drugs and the signs and symptoms of schizophrenia. (FINALLY) ... Part of me was starting to wonder if I was coming down with the disorders that I was learning about... GOING CRAZY!

I know in my last post I talked about my weight loss journey. It's been quite some time and I have yet to get on with my journey. I find it to be very hard.. and very intimidating. Don't get me wrong.. I have no problem getting to the gym (err... well wanting to go to the gym) but actually getting there and eating healthy is a completely different story. I tend to be a picky eater... meaning that I don't like to eat the same thing over again.. and my first meal of the day is usually a snack before lunch.. or lunch. So switching to a new "plan" is difficult...

Here's my "food plan" that was created by my trainer specifically for me..

Breakfast - 4 egg whites & 3/4 cup oatmeal (w/ 2.5tsp of brown sugar)

Snack - Protein shake (nastiest thing EVER) with an apple

Lunch - Turkey sandwich (2 pieces of low carb bread, 1 ounce turkey, 1 slice cheese, and spinach)
              1/2 cup broccoli

Snack - Protein shake (GROSS)

Dinner - 1 ounce chicken breast
              1/2 cup quinoa
              2.5 spears of broccoli
              10 baby carrots

Late night snack  - 3 hard boiled egg whites and 1 whole hard boiled egg
                               1/2 english muffin with peanut butter

Talk about boring... not to mention I live with some family friends that have been wonderful in letting me live here while I'm in school to save money... BUT.. they aren't very nice when it comes to eating healthy. Why would I want to eat the above list of food EVERY DAY when I could eat pasta, pizza, and tacos with them?

Ughh.. so I've lost some motivation but am hoping to get back on the train.. Pinterest believe it or not has been the source of some new found motivation. They have great motivational sayings and healthier options when it comes to eating...

 So here goes nothing!
